WALLA WALLA COUNTY, Wash. — State fire assistance has been mobilized for the Hatch Grade Fire near the town of Touchet.
The Hatch Grade Fire started on September 29, 2026.
This fire is estimated at 5000 acres. It is burning in grass, brush, and wheat stubble and is threatening homes, crops, and power infrastructure.
Level 1, 2, and 3 evacuations are in effect at this time.
The American Red Cross has opened an emergency evacuation center at Touchet School District, 90 Champion St, Touchet, WA.
The fire cause is currently under investigation.
