Tuesday will be a warmer, overcast day as a weather system moves through the Pacific Northwest. Rain chances are low, but there’s a good chance for breezy weather to end the day.
An atmospheric river is bringing steady rain to the Cascades while covering the region with cloudy skies. Rain is possible around midday in the Idaho Panhandle to as far south as Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, but any showers will be light and short-lived.
Highs will remain the 60s and low 70s, but it will be a much warmer start to the day than Monday was. Winds will pick up for the afternoon, bringing gusts up to 30 mph at times around Eastern Washington.
Temperatures won’t change much for the middle of the week as another weak system brings clouds to the area on Thursday. High pressure takes control starting Friday, which will lead to a warming trend and dry, sunnier conditions through this weekend and into early next week.
