BOUNDARY COUNTY, Idaho — UPDATE, 7:23 p.m. The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office says all current fire evacuations will stay in place throughout the night.
As of the last update, the Turner Hill Fire is estimated to be 300 acres, with hundreds of homes in the evacuation zones.
The Boundary County Fairgrounds is open for anyone who lives in the evacuation zones.

Evacuation orders continue to expand as firefighters battle the uncontrolled Turner Hill Wildfire, which remains 0% contained, according to the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office.
The most recent update, issued at 2:15 p.m. Thursday by the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, increased the (GET SET) locations to Camp Nine, side Roads N to Bethlehem; Smith Lake Rd and Side Roads E of Highway 95, Rigby Rd, Catan Lane, Saphire Dr, Birdpoint Rd, Tok Lane, Granite Lane, Legacy Ridge Lane, Templeman Lake Rd, Owl Creek Rd, Smith Lake Campgrounds, Humboldt Dr and Texas Lane.
The most recent update, issued at 12:30 p.m. Thursday by the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, placed all of Moon Shadow Road and its side roads—including Aspen Drive, Nighthawk, Musket Lane and Larkspur Road—into “Set” evacuation status.
Homestead Loop Road north of Moon Shadow Road was also moved to “Set” status, meaning residents must be prepared to leave at a moment’s notice.
Evacuation Zones
The Boundary County Fairgrounds remains the primary shelter and rally point for evacuees, the sheriff’s office said.
Initial “Go” evacuation orders were issued for Fawn Lane, Fleming Creek, Kings Row, the 3000 block of Turner Hill Road east to Highway 95, and Holmes Road—all with side roads included, according to the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office. “Go” orders require immediate evacuation.
The northwest end of Moon Shadow Road was initially placed in “Set” status Tuesday night, with Thursday’s update expanding it to include the entire Moon Shadow Road corridor, the sheriff’s office reported.
Camp Nine, side Roads N to Bethlehem; Smith Lake Rd and Side Roads E of Highway 95 is in “Set” status.
Copeland Boat Launch and Port Hill Boat Launch are closed for firefighting aircraft operations, according to the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office.
Residents in “Set” areas should prepare to leave immediately, gather only essential items if safe, and monitor official Boundary County Sheriff’s Office emergency updates.
Response and Safety
A Type 3 incident management team is supporting the Idaho Department of Lands with air assets deployed and ground personnel mobilized, according to the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office. All Boundary County Fire Departments are deployed, with multiple law enforcement agencies conducting door-to-door notifications.
The sheriff’s office warns that some evacuated residents have attempted to return home. Officials urge all residents to remain away from evacuated areas until authorities declare it safe.
Significant wind events expected Thursday could intensify fire behavior, fire personnel said.
