RATHDRUM, Idaho — A vehicle fire on Highway 53 near Honu Court claimed one life early Friday morning, according to officials.
Crews arrived to find a single vehicle engulfed in flames off the roadway and quickly extinguished the fire with minimal spread to surrounding areas. The sole occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Idaho State Police is leading the investigation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
