SPOKANE, Wash — A woman died Thursday after being struck by a vehicle on Percival Avenue near N. Guinevere Drive, according to Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies.
The collision occurred at approximately 7:55 a.m. Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies, Spokane County Fire District 9, and medical personnel responded and provided life-saving efforts. The victim was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The adult female driver of the Subaru and her two juvenile passengers remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
According to preliminary information, the Subaru was traveling east on Percival Avenue when it struck the victim, who was crouched in the roadway, possibly attempting to pick something up. Spokane County Traffic Unit Investigators do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the fatal collision.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s name, cause of death, and manner of death at a later time.
