SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — An increased fire danger across the region on Wednesday is a good reminder about burn bans in effect in Spokane County.
Spokane County Fire District 3 says all recreational fires are currently banned across the county. Open yard burning is also banned. Only propane, natural gas or charcoal barbecues and manufactured fire devices are allowed.
Dry and breezy conditions on Tuesday evening and Wednesday will raise wildfire risk for most of the region.
Fire District 3 says you can also help prevent wildfires by delaying mowing dry grass or using equipment that could spark, securing trailer chains, and getting rid of cigarettes responsibly.
If you see a fire, call 911 immediately.
