ADAMS COUNTY, Wash. — A 38-year-old Kennewick woman was killed Thursday morning in a crash east of Othello.
The crash happened around 5:20 a.m. at Booker Road and State Route 26, about 5 miles east of Othello, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers said Josefina Cruz was driving north on Booker Road when she failed to stop at the intersection’s stop sign and collided with the first trailer being pulled by an eastbound semitruck on SR 26.
Cruz’s SUV, the truck and the first trailer came to rest on the shoulder of SR 26. The second trailer detached and rolled.
Cruz died at the scene.
The truck driver, a 47-year-old man, was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
