BOUNDARY COUNTY, Idaho — (UPDATE: 11 a.m.) All level 3 (Go) evacuations have been lowered to level 2 (Get Set) and people can start going back to their residences.
The Turner Fire burning in Boundary County has expanded to 593 acres as firefighting crews work to protect homes and structures in the area, according to the Northern Rockies Team 1.
The Northern Rockies Complex Incident Management Team #1 assumed command of the fire on July 17, with Incident Commander Bea Day overseeing operations.
Evacuation Orders
Level 2 (Get Set)
The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office has reduced to Level 2 “Get Set” evacuation orders for residents on Rocking Tree Road, Foxglove Road, Holmes Road, Orchards Road, Lupine Road, Fleming Creek Road, Dist Five Road, Fawn Lane, Heideman Road, Ginger Road, Kings Row and side roads, Turner Hill Road, and Holmes Road and side roads.

Aspen Drive, Nighthawk Road, Musket Lane, Bug Lane, Pheasant Road, Moonshadow, Larkspur, Rigby Road, Catan Lane, Sapphire Drive, Birdpoint Road, Tok Lane, Granite Lane, Legacy Ridge Lane, Templeman Lake Road, Owl Creek Road, Smith Lake Campgrounds, Humboldt Drive, Texas Lane, Homestead Loop north of Moonshadow, Camp Nine, side roads north to Bethlehem, Smith Lake Road and side roads east of Highway 95.

Evacuation Orders Remain in Place
Sheriff Stolley announced Friday morning that all evacuation orders will remain at current levels.
The sheriff has scheduled a meeting for 4 p.m. Friday to provide updates.
Firefighting Progress
Firefighting crews constructed handlines along the eastern edge and wet lines along the western edge. An Interagency Hotshot Crew and Type 2 hand crews arrived late Thursday. Structure protection resources are working along Fleming Creek and Ginger Roads.
The fire started July 15. The cause remains undetermined.
Weather and Flight Restrictions
A Red Flag Warning is in effect until 11 a.m. Friday. Winds are expected to shift in the afternoon to the south-southwest with slightly cooler temperatures.
A Temporary Flight Restriction is in place over the Turner Fire. The public is urged to stay clear of aircraft when they are dipping from water sources.
