SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Rex, the 3 and a half foot chrome T.rex statue that was stolen from the center of a roundabout near the North Spokane Costco, has been returned home.
His disappearance was a mystery until the end of May, when Sheriff’s deputies got a tip he was buried in the ground north of Deer Park nearly 20 miles away.
There’s still no word on who did it. But since he was found, people have asked if rex would ever return to his roundabout home. Now, he’s back.
The Mead Works community held a welcome home party for Rex and neighbors last night at Fossil Park. They also unveiled a new dino statue at the park down the road from Rex, which is of a stegosaurus.
