INCHELIUM, Wash. — The Modrite fire has grown to over 50,000 acres and is 60% contained.
Firefighters have strengthened and secured a Fire line around the community of Inchelium and continue to patrol and extinguish areas of heat that may pose a threat to containment. On the southwestern and northwestern edges, firefighters constructed direct dozer line.
Utility crews are working to restore power to Silver Creek Road and Stray Dog Canyon Road.
