Wildfire evacuations lifted near Long Lake

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A new wildfire broke east of Long Lake in Spokane County this morning.

According to Spokane Regional Emergency Communications, the fire forced Level 3, Go Now, evacuations for people living along Long Lake Road. You can see the latest evacuation map here.

The evacuation orders and forward progress were stopped around 6:15 a.m.
