SEATTLE, Wash. — The Seattle Mariners are stepping up to support communities devastated by the Spokane-area wildfires, pledging to direct raffle proceeds toward relief efforts, according to a statement from the team.
The team announced it will dedicate all proceeds from T-Mobile Park’s 50/50 Raffle on Thursday, August 6, to wildfire relief in the Spokane region. The Mariners Care Foundation will match every dollar raised by fans, effectively doubling the team’s contribution.
“We are heartbroken for everyone affected by the devastating wildfires in the Spokane area,” the Mariners said in a statement. “We extend our thoughts and support to the families and communities facing unimaginable loss, and we are grateful for the courageous first responders and emergency personnel working tirelessly to protect lives and support those in need.”
