SPOKANE, Wash — Tuesday is Primary Day in Washington, and people who lost their ballots in the Spokane Area Fires can still make their voices heard.
“Even people who have lost their ballots can still vote,” said Spokane County Auditor Vicky Dalton.
According to Dalton, fire victims can get new ballots in person at Spokane County libraries, the elections office, and Centerplace in Spokane Valley.
According to Dalton, offices are prepared for higher foot traffic today for in-person voting.
People currently in Level 3 evacuation zones will need to exit the evacuation zones to cast their ballot.
“If you are in the Level 3 evacuation zone, you will have to exit in order to deposit your ballot, which means you may not be allowed back in,” said Dalton.
Ballots need to be submitted, mailed, or dropped in a drop box by 8 p.m. tonight.
If you are mailing your ballot today, Dalton says you need to walk in and get a hand cancellation for it to be postmarked by tonight.
