SPOKANE, Wash. — The Washington Department of Health is warning people to be aware of scam calls circling around the state right now.
According to the DOH, these scammers are spoofing phone numbers to appear to be coming from a Department of Health phone number.
The scammers may falsely claim to be from the health department, saying your medical information has been compromised. They will then ask you to verify personal information.
The Department of Health wants to remind everyone to not share personal information or respond to these types of requests.
