HAUSER, Idaho — Idaho Transportation Department officials have moved the Highway 53 Pleasant View Interchange traffic pattern changes to Monday, Sept. 28, from Friday, according to an update from ITD.
The decision came after additional coordination determined that making all major changes simultaneously would be the safest and most efficient approach.
Starting Monday, the new Pleasant View Interchange will fully open. Access to Highway 53 from Prairie Avenue and McGuire Road will permanently close, and the temporary signal at Prairie Avenue and Highway 53 will be removed. All traffic will use the new interchange to access Highway 53 or cross the highway and railroad tracks.
Prairie Avenue and Beck Road will also close Monday for up to a week for road realignment, with traffic detouring to Seltice Way.
Tonight’s Highway 53 closure remains on schedule. Highway 53 will close through the project area from 8 p.m. tonight through early Friday morning for final roadway striping, with traffic detouring via McGuire Road and Prairie Avenue.
