GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — UPDATE, 6:30 p.m. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says all evacuations have been downgraded to Level 2 (Be Set) for an approximately 100-acre wildfire burning on Highway 28 near Quincy.
The highway is still closed at this time. There is currently no estimate for when the road is expected to reopen.

Level 3 (GO NOW!) evacuations have been issued due a wildfire burning on Highway 28 near rural Quincy.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, people living west of Road T NW to the Douglas County line need to leave immediately.
The Sheriff’s Office says State Route 28 is currently closed between Quincy and Wenatchee due to the fire. People traveling in the area need to find an alternate route.
Grant County Fire District 13 says multiple agencies from across the county are helping with this large wildfire on both sides of the highway at Trinidad Hill.
