MOSES LAKE, Wash – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the driver of a Jeep who hit a road department employee Thursday morning.
The worker was hit around 5:10 Thursday morning on North Frontage Road, a mile east of Dodson Road. That’s between Moses Lake and George just north of I-90.
The sheriff’s office says the driver of a teal and gray camouflage-colored Jeep Cherokee hit the worker, got out and checked on the victim, then kept going.
The victim, who was taken to the hospital with injuries, said the driver had long hair, but couldn’t describe any other features.
The Jeep is described as a late 80s, early 90s model with a lift kit, oversized tires and a dune safety flag whip. Part of the grille was left at the scene.
The sheriff’s office wants anyone with information to call 509-762-1160.
