SPOKANE, Wash. — Despite the Fourth of July falling on a Saturday this year, the city of Spokane says there are still some holiday closures you should know about.
According to the city, the Spokane Municipal Court and Community Justice Services, City Hall and all Spokane Public Libraries will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
Garbage, recycling and yard waste services will still be running on a normal schedule this week.
On Saturday, the city’s six aquatic centers will be closed. Splash pads and golf courses will still be open.
The city says on-street paid parking meters and kiosks will not require you to pay on Saturday. Even when parking is free on holidays, you still have to follow all parking rules and time limits.
Many fun activities are planned in Spokane for the holiday weekend. The Riverfront Summer Carnival kicks off Wednesday and runs through July 5. There will also be a 4th of July Fireworks Celebration and Spokane Symphony Concert in Riverfront Park on Saturday.
