ASOTIN COUNTY, Wash. — Two people died in an apparent murder-suicide Saturday evening at a residence in Asotin County, while two young children and their great-grandmother escaped harm, according to the Asotin County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a report of two unresponsive subjects at a home in the 1200 block of Boston Street Saturday evening. First responders discovered two deceased individuals inside the residence.
The investigation revealed that a male subject had shot a female subject before shooting himself, according to sheriff’s officials. The firearm was recovered at the scene.
Two young children and their great-grandmother, who was caring for them in another part of the home, were not injured. No other individuals were involved in the shooting.
The sheriff’s office has not released the identities of the deceased subjects as officials work to notify next of kin.
