COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Idaho State Police investigators are trying to find a truck that was involved in a hit and run Monday afternoon in Hayden.
It happened just after noon on Highway 95 just north of the intersection with West Prairie Avenue.
Investigators say a blue Dodge Dakota rear-ended another vehicle and caused a chain-reaction crash.
Witnesses say the driver then took off through the dirt median and into the parking lot of Hayden Cinemas.
At the time of the crash, the truck had some lumber in the bed of the truck. While witnesses did not get the license plate number, investigators say the truck will likely have front-end damage and may have white paint that was transferred from the vehicle that was hit.
