SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — North Pines Middle School activated a brief “Secure and Teach” protocol today to assist a student experiencing a personal crisis.
“This measure ensured a safe and focused environment for everyone while we provided necessary support,” Principal Dr. Vincent explained in a communication to families.
The standard safety procedure, which lasted approximately 10 minutes, allowed staff to address the situation without disrupting the educational environment for other students.
Dr. Vincent thanked the school community for their cooperation, emphasizing that student and staff well-being remains the administration’s highest priority.
