SPOKANE, Wash.– The Spokane Public Schools has a short survey to help them figure out what families need following the Spokane Complex Fires.
Spokane Public Schools are working directly with affected families to ensure students can continue fully participating in school.
Their transportation team is aware that some routes in affected areas will need to be rerouted, and they are actively reviewing those routes.
Students who have been displaced by the fires could qualify for support under an act that helps students remain enrolled in the same school they went to before they got displaced. This includes transportation to the school.
Spokane Public Schools HEART program will also help with many school needs including backpacks, musical instrument rentals, and sports equipment.
