SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — An e-bike rider died in a crash with a car Monday in Spokane Valley.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the intersection of Progress Road and Valleyway Avenue around 8 p.m.
Deputies say a driver of a GMC pickup was heading south on Progress Road and the e-bike rider was heading west on Valleyway.
SCSO believes both the driver and rider ran the stop signs at the intersection and collided.
The e-bike rider was taken to the hospital where he later died. The man driving the GMC stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The medical examiner will release the identity of the e-bike rider at a later time.
