SPOKANE, Wash– No growth was seen the three fires in the Spokane area on Friday during a Red Flag warning according to Washinton Department of Natural Resources.
More than 75 miles of containment line have been constructed to date.
Crews are actively searching for and extinguishing pockets of heat near homes and other structures to reduce the risk of additional damage. Firefighters remain vigilant to respond to any new fires that may occur across the area.
On Friday, crews responded to two initial-attack fires and assisted local fire resources to successfully suppress both new starts.
Saturday will be the second day of Red Flag Warning conditions before gradually improving weather moves into the area.
A Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) remains in effect over the incident.
