SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — About 1,600 Avista customers are still without power due to wildfire damage.
That number is down from yesterday’s number of 2,000.
Avista says srews and contractors have spent the past several days repairing damaged electric and natural gas infrastructure across the Spokane area.
The company expressed concern for residents who lost their homes, remain without power or face continued uncertainty. Crews will continue working around the clock to support response and recovery efforts.
