SPOKANE, Wash – Washington’s primary is Tuesday and with tens of thousands of people in the Spokane area impacted by wildfires, elections officials want to make sure everyone can still vote.
Voters can request replacement ballot packets in person on Election Day at the Spokane County Elections Office at 1033 W. Gardner from 7am to 8 pm on Tuesday. They can also go to the Voter Service Center at Centerplace, located at 2426 N Discovery Place from 7 am to 8 pm on Election Day.
Voters can print a replacement ballot from votewa.gov
Ballots can be mailed and postmarked by Election Day. Voters can also use ballot drop boxes around the county.
The Indian Trail Library dropbox is located within the evacuation zone.
“Our first concern is for the safety and security of the residents within the fire evacuation areas,” said Spokane County Auditor Vicky Dalton. “We are here to assist them and ensure they can cast a ballot. This is one small aspect of normalcy we can offer in what is otherwise a traumatic and overwhelming situation.”
