UPDATE, 6:16 p.m. One structure has been burned in a 35-acre wildfire on the west side of Beacon Hill Monday afternoon.
According to fire officials, the fire is currently 70% contained.
Level 3 (GO NOW!) evacuations are still in place.

Firefighters are battling a new wildfire Monday afternoon on the west side of Beacon Hill.
Spokane County Fire District 9 is responding to the fire on East Valley Springs Road.
Level three (Go now) evacuation orders are in place. The boundaries are:
North to Clements Lane and South to Valley Springs
East to Thierman and West to Custer

The American Red Cross has set up an evacuation shelter for those impacted by this fire. That shelter is located at Trent Elementary School at 3303 N Pines Rd, Spokane Valley.
This fire is adjacent to where the Upriver Fire started several weeks ago that burned 14 homes.
