SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Indians closed their six-game homestand with a tough 21-3 loss to the Everett AquaSox on Sunday afternoon at Avista Stadium.
Spokane’s offense was limited to seven hits, with Ethan Hedges and Roynier Hernandez each collecting two. Hedges hit his 12th home run of the season in the third inning, while Kelvin Hidalgo added his 10th of the year an inning later. Tanner Thach drove in the Indians’ other run with an RBI single in the first.
Everett broke the game open after the fourth, scoring 14 unanswered runs over the final five innings. The AquaSox finished with 17 hits, including six home runs, highlighted by a grand slam from Luke Stevenson and two long balls from Carlos Jimenez.
Yujanyer Herrera (1-2) took the loss for Spokane, allowing two runs over two innings.
The Indians (44-46) will look to bounce back Tuesday when they open a six-game home series against the Tri-City Dust Devils.
