It’s a chilly, frosty start to the week, but warmer weather isn’t that far away.
Our day begins with a Frost Advisory until 9 a.m. for Spokane and the Upper Columbia Basin. Temperatures will warm into the middle and upper 60s this afternoon. It will be sunny for a good portion of the day, but clouds will start to be more noticeable in the afternoon and evening.
Tonight will be considerably warmer thanks to a blanket of cloudy skies. Lows early Tuesday will only be in the mid 40s to low 50s.
Tuesday, a weather system will dump rain over the Cascades while bringing gusty winds and warmer temperatures to Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Wind gusts will reach 20 to 30 mph Tuesday afternoon. Rain is unlikely for valley and lowland locations.
High pressure will build over the Northwest starting on Wednesday, which will boost high temperatures into the 70s for late in the week.
