BONNERS FERRY, Idaho — A fire approximately 8 miles north of Bonners Ferry has prompted evacuations orders. A “Set” evacuation is currently in place for MOONSHADOW RD. Copeland Boat launch and Port Hill boat launches have both been closed for fire aircraft until further notice. A “Go” Evacuation is currently in place for all of Fawn Lane and any side roads. A “Go” Evacuation is currently in place for all of Fleming Creek and any side roads. A“Go” Evacuation is currently in place for all of all of Kings Row and side roads.A “Go” evacuation is currently in effect for the 3000 block of Turner Hill Road east to Highway 95, as well as all side roads in that area. All residents on Holmes Road and its side roads are also required to evacuate.According to Idaho Department of Lands said the fire is currently estimated at 75 to 100 acres which is close to 42 to 57 football fields. According to the Boundary County Sherrif’s Office emergency resources are being mobilized to assist at the Boundary County Fairgrounds as the situation develops.
