KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — Big changes are coming to Idaho vehicle registration next month.
According to the Idaho Transportation Department, drivers will no longer need registration stickers on license plates starting July 1 since Idaho is moving to permanent license plates.
Vehicle registration is still requited and law enforcement will be verifying registration electronically.
ITD says removing these stickers is expected to save the state about $300,000 each year.
Idaho Parks and Recreation stickers will still be required for off-highway vehicles, boats, snowmobiles and other vehicles.
