SPIRIT LAKE, Idaho — The Spirit Lake Police Department says it’s seeing an increase of break-ins in cars and home in the North Idaho town.
The department is advising people to remove keys from their vehicles and keep their doors locked.
Police acknowledge people felt comfortable leaving doors unlocked or their keys in their vehicle but must be more secure moving forward.
Spirit Lake police advise people to report any suspicious looking individuals, and officers will be increasing patrol around the city.
