LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — The Spokane Valley Fire Department knocked down an apartment building fire in Liberty Lake overnight.
Firefighters responded to the Big Trout Lodge on Country Vista Drive near Mission Avenue around 11 p.m. for a three-alarm fire.
SVFD says crews arrived to smoke and flames on the second and third floors of the complex. The fire was knocked down around 3 a.m.
According to the Red Cross, 22 people across multiple units were displaced. The Red Cross is assisting those people with immediate needs.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
