SPOKANE, Wash. — A man wanted on a federal arrest warrant for assault on the reservation has been taken into custody, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
The U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force said Travis McClain was taken into custody. Additional details about his arrest were not immediately released.
McClain was wanted on a federal arrest warrant for assault by strangling and attempting to strangle an intimate and dating partner in Indian Country. He was last seen Sept. 7 in Elmer City.
The U.S. Marshals Service had been working with the FBI-Salish Safe Trails Task Force and Colville Tribal Police to locate McClain.
Authorities had offered a reward for information leading to his arrest.
