SPOKANE, Wash. – The Seattle Reign opened their three-match trip to Spokane with a 3-0 win over the Kansas City Current.
The Reign rolled to a fast start, scoring all three goals in the opening third of the match, and the win is their largest margin of victory this young season.
Angharad James-Turner opened the scoring with an 18th-minute strike off the set piece, then Brittany Ratcliffe tapped in a fantastic cross for the second goal just six minutes later, and Maddie Mercado capped the scoring off with a top-shelf header at the 33rd minute.
Seattle returns to Spokane for a match against Racing Louisville FC this Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
