CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Gonzaga Bulldogs (14-7, 6-2) almost pulled off one of the wildest wins of the season with a late Paige Lofing three, but Oregon State (15-6, 7-1) beat the Zags in overtime, 92-87.
The Zags were down by six with 25 seconds left, but a few OSU missed free throws and clutch GU shooting caused a rally with only a 0.1% chance to win, according to ESPN analytics.
Lauren Whittaker had her best game of her young career, scoring 37 points and adding 14 rebounds.
Gonzaga outrebounded Oregon State, but again failed to protect the ball, allowing 19 turnovers.
The Zags next play the San Francisco Dons in California this Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
