STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — A wildfire that broke out over the weekend in Stevens County has grown to more than 3 square miles.
According to incident command, the Lake Spokane Fire has burned 2,300 acres, or about 3.5 square miles. The fire is 1% contained.
Stevens County Emergency Management has evacuations in place for the immediate area.
Highway 291 is back open Monday having been closed when the fire broke out.
