The cooler weather is bringing the first flakes of the season to mountain ranges across eastern Washington and northern Idaho this weekend.
Silver Mountain posted a video on social media this morning, showing the first blanket of snow on the slopes for the 2026-27 season.
Mt. Spokane Ski Park, Lookout Pass and Schweitzer Mountain also posted that they received some snow as well on Sunday.
“Temps are dropping and we’re getting closer to opening day,” Mt Spokane said on its website.
As of the latest projections, opening weekend for this year’s ski and snowboarding season on Mt. Spokane is set for early December.
