CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. — Deputies arrested a man for stealing an ATV in Wenatchee, according to Chelan County Sheriff’s Office.
On May 3, Wenatchee Police received a report of a stolen ATV.
Later, a Chelan County deputy on patrol in the nearby town of Malaga spotted an ATV driving recklessly and without a license plate.
The ATV pulled into an orchard off Hurds River Ranch Road. When the deputy caught up, the driver was gone.
The deputy confirmed it was the stolen ATV from Wenatchee and it was returned to the owner.
CCSO continued to investigate the theft and identified 27-year-old Mitchell Plantillas as a suspect.
On May 8, deputies arrested Plantillas at his home off Hurds River Ranch Road.
Multiple other stolen items were found in his home, including another recently stolen ATV.
Planitllas was booked into Chelan County Regional Justice Center for vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and criminal trespassing.
