Secret Service agents rushed former President Donald Trump off stage at his campaign rally in Pennsylvania after gunshots rang through the crowd, Saturday.
According to ABC News, the shooter and at least one bystander are dead.
Trump’s campaign released an official and preliminary statement saying Donald Trump is “fine”.
The incident is being investigated as a possible assassination attempt and an act of domestic terror. Officials said live rounds were apparently fired from outside the security perimeter.
Senator Patty Murray and said “violence is never acceptable” no matter your political beliefs.
Washington State Governor Jay Inslee weighed in with similar feelings and expressed gratitude for first responders and the Secret Service.
Idaho Governor Brad Little said he is praying for President Trump.
