COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho—Hundreds of people will gather in downtown Coeur d’Alene on Friday to officially welcome the holiday season.
The Coeur d’Alene Resort Holiday Light Show begins with a parade down Sherman Avenue starting at 5 p.m. Followed by the official ceremony at 6 p.m.
Then, the community will gather along the lakefront for the countdown that starts the holiday season with a bang.
A 1500-shell fireworks show over the lake will be followed by the turning on of 1.5 million lights around the resort.
“This season, visitors are in for a spectacular surprise,” said Bill Reagan, president of The Coeur d’Alene Resort. “Our new mega-floating Christmas tree is truly a sight to behold.”
