COEUR D’ ALENE, Idaho. — Idaho State Fire Marshals are investigating a house fire in the Mica Flats area that killed two people Sunday night.
On November 24, at approximately 7:25 p.m., Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) dispatch received reports of a possible explosion and fire in the 8600 block of W. Carnie Road in the Mica Flats area.
Firefighters said they arrived to find the house fully engulfed in flames.
According to KCSO, after the fire was extinguished, a preliminary search uncovered one victim, and a later search found a second victim.
The Idaho State Fire Marshals Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
The investigation is ongoing.
