SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane City Council approved an ordinance that will make asbestos testing for people whose homes burned down in the Old Trails Fire free.
The Spokane City Council passed the ordinance unanimously.
The city will pay for asbestos testing for people whose insurance doesn’t cover asbestos testing. People who already had the testing done may be reimbursed up to $1,600.
This service will only be available for people who lost their homes in the Old Trails Fire.
People can request testing or reimbursement through a form here.
