University of Idaho president announces his retirement

MOSCOW, Idaho – One of the longest-serving presidents in University of Idaho history is retiring at the end of the school year.

U of I announced Wednesday President Scott Green will retire June 30th after eight years.

He’s the longest-serving president since Richard Gibb, who was president when Green was a student.

Green took over as U of I’s 19th president in July 2019.

A 1984 graduate of the university, Green worked in global finance, operations and administration before taking the position.
