SPOKANE, Wash – Music fans in Spokane will have to wait another day before enjoying one of the great end-of-summer traditions. Rain has forced the Spokane Symphony to move the annual Labor Day Concert at Comstock Park to Tuesday.
The symphony announced the change Monday morning.
The extra day not only allows for a lesser chance of rain, but also gives more time for the wet grass to dry out.
Tuesday’s event starts at 4:30 pm with The Logan Pintor Quartet featuring Kekoa Lyons.
The full orchestra performs starting at 6 pm.
Admission is free.
The symphony is collecting donations in support of fire relief, both through social media channels and also with giving stations and a pass-the-bucket collection at the concert.
