SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga guard transfer Skylar Wicks has received an NCAA waiver granting him an additional season of eligibility, clearing him to play for the Bulldogs in 2026-27.
Wicks committed to Gonzaga in late June after a breakout season at Saint Francis. The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 17.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while shooting a career-best 36 percent from three-point range.
Wicks earned All-NEC Third Team honors last season and finished second in the conference in scoring.
He becomes another veteran addition to Gonzaga’s backcourt alongside transfers Javon Bennett and Chauncey Wiggins.
Wicks began his college career at Missouri State before stops at State College of Florida, Incarnate Word, UTSA and Saint Francis.
The NCAA approved his waiver on Aug. 4, giving Wicks one more season of college basketball and clearing the way for him to join the Bulldogs this fall.
