DOUGLAS COUNTY, Wash. — Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is seeking volunteers to help out with its upcoming National Hunting and Fishing Day in September.
On September 13, WDFW, in partnership with the Wenatchee Sportsman Association (WSA), will host a National Hunting and Fishing Day at the North Central Washington Gun Club in East Wenatchee.
Attendees will enjoy educational displays, conservation booths and hands-on activities, including rod and reel casting practice. Kids under 18 who attend the event with an accompanying adult can shoot WDFW firearms, including archery equipment, 20-gauge shotguns and .22, .223 and air rifles for free.
Hotdogs and burgers will also be served for lunch.
There will also be free giveaways and door prizes.
WDFW is looking for volunteers for the following parts of the event:
-Hunter Education Class (volunteer instructors and helpers)
-Event Set-up
-Event Clean-up
-Registration Table
-Parking and Directions
-Vendors
-Youth Activities
