LEWISTON, Idaho — Firefighters are investigating the cause of a structure fire that happened in Lewiston on Saturday morning.
According to the Lewiston Fire Department, calls came in about a fire on Warner Avenue just before 6:45 a.m. Saturday.
When crews arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from the front door of the home.
The fire had spread through the home, extending into the attic, multiple bedrooms and the living room.
Firefighters were able to knock down the fire within 20 minutes. Crews remained on scene for an extra hour and a half to make sure the fire was fully extinguished.
No injuries were reported from the fire. The fire is estimated to have caused around $550,000 in damages.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Lewiston Fire Department wants to remind everyone to make sure you have working smoke alarms in every level of your home and test them monthly.
