STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — A cyclist was injured in a crash with a car near Ford, Washington on Tuesday afternoon, according to Washington State Patrol.
Around 1:30 p.m. on May 13, a cyclist was riding northbound along the southbound shoulder of SR-231, near milepost 50.
At the same time, a Chevy Malibu was driving northbound on 231.
The 53-year-old cyclist attempted to cross the road to the northbound shoulder, when he was struck by the car in the northbound lane.
The cyclist was transported to a nearby hospital for his injuries.
WSP listed the cause of the crash as ‘failure to yield’ and said no drugs or alcohol were involved.
