SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Spokane Valley residents and commuters should prepare for a significant traffic disruption on Monday as crews complete paving work on a major roadway.
According to the City of Spokane Valley, the eastbound lanes of Trent Avenue (SR 290) between Pines Road and McDonald Road will close on Monday, September 28, from 2:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The closure is necessary to safely and efficiently complete paving as part of the Pines Road/BNSF Grade Separation Project.
During the closure, drivers traveling eastbound on Trent Avenue will need to use an alternate route. According to the city, a detour will direct traffic from Pines Road to Sullivan Road via Indiana Avenue.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time if their commute typically uses this stretch of Trent Avenue.
The closure is expected to last approximately 12.5 hours.
